The Power of HR to Lead Where Others Fear to Go
This session will focus on a specific organizational change model that places the HR function in a critical leadership role. The burden of change, typically, rests with managers who have the positional authority to make things happen. The resistance to embrace a planned change approach is a by-product of the day-to-day distractions that prevent looking beyond the cubicle. The HR function has the unique role of operating across the various organizational disciplines as a way of getting things done. There is power in recognizing the importance of how cross-disciplinary influence can be used to achieve organizational objectives. While change is a fearful activity to embrace, HR has the opportunity to lead with influence and control the anxiety that comes with managing through the unknown
